School will assess a child based on Scholastic and Co-Scholastic areas. Scholastic will include Internal / Periodic Assessment (Grade System) and Terminal-1 & 2 Assessments (Grade System).
Subjects: English, Hindi, Maths, EVS & Value Education
Term-1 (First half of session): Internal Assessment + Terminal-1 Assessment
Term-2 (Second half of session): Internal Assessment + Terminal-2 Assessment
Periodic Assessment comprises of pen-paper assessment/ worksheets+ Multiple Assessment + Subject Enrichment Activity . Work done in the classroom.
There will be Periodic Assessment in first Semester (April to September) & Second Semester (October to February) along-with Terminal-1 Assessment (in September). Terminal-2 Assessment will be in February / March.
The syllabus for Periodic Assessment will be the chapters that are taught in the class one week before the exam day. Syllabus for Terminal-1 Assessment will be approximately 50% of the Curriculum i.e., Term-I syllabus. (for Grade I – II).

- Child needs to secure 33% in Half Yearly and Yearly / Annual Exam separately (i.e., 26.4 out of 80) to pass in a particular subject. To get passed and promoted to next class, child has to secure

- The Annual Examination will comprise of the entire/full syllabus (chapters taught from the start to end).
- There is NO more Term 1 & Term 2 Syllabus, as it was earlier. It will be an External Examination of 80 marks
- Upgrading of subjects based on Co-Scholastic grades stands CANCELLED.

- Student needs to secure 33% in Periodic Assessment (i.e.,6.6 out of 20) and 33% in Annual Exam (i.e., 26.4 out of 80) to pass in a particular subject. If a child fails to secure the same, he/she
is eligible for Compartment Exam. To get passed and promoted to next class, child has to secure 33% in each subject. - Compartment Exam will comprise of entire syllabus of a particular subject and will be tentatively in the month of June. There is only ONE ATTEMPT for qualifying the Compartment Exam. Students
will be detained if they fail to pass the Compartment Exam. There won’t be any Second Compartment Exam under any circumstances and reasons (medical or otherwise). - 75% Attendance is a must for a child to appear for Board / Annual Examination held in March. The school sends a report of attendance to CBSE in the first week of February and in case child
is falling short of mandatory 75%, then he/she will not be eligible to appear in Annual Examination. Please ensure that your child fulfils attendance criteria. In case of medical emergency parents must submit medical documents certified
by Chief Medical Officer / Govt. Doctor. - Assessment Policy is subject to change time to time as per the new instructions and circulars provided by CBSE.
- Attendance is compulsory for all Assessments tests and examinations held during the year, failing which the student will be awarded no grade. No consideration will be given to the absentees except on medical grounds, at the sole discretion of the Head of the school. It is the responsibility of both students and their parents to ensure that they do not miss any Written Tests or Examinations.
- Subjects like Computer Science, third language, PE, Art, Music and Sports will also be graded. Students will not be given any extra time for answering the question papers. Reporting late for examinations.
Unfair Means: Students found using any unfair means during any of the examinations, will be awarded zero in that subject. Parent and the concerned student will be summoned and asked to provide an explanation. A repeat of such cheating in future will result in prompt issue of a Transfer Certificate without notice.
- Requests for the issue of Progress Cards before the declaration of results will not be entertained. Exam dates are decided in advance. Exam / Assessment cannot be conducted on any other date / day for parent’s personal convenience / requirement.
